Hewett Art Showcase Tops Another Creative Year
Back
Talented Hewett Academy students have shown off their fantastic artwork in a showcase exhibition. The work, all produced as part of the GCSE Art and GCSE Graphics courses, stunned both parents and visitors alike. Guests included His Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Norwich, who praised the artistic talents of the Hewett students, representatives from the Norwich University of the Arts, other local Art teachers and senior staff from the Inspiration Trust.
Head of Creative Arts Amy Lee said:”Year 11 have shown incredible resilience and power in the face of unprecedented challenges. Their work shows great maturity and strength of character. I am proud of the diversity and skill represented in this exhibition and am delighted to celebrate their exceptional accomplishments with the public.”
Hewett’s Executive Principal Antony Little added: “Hewett has long been known for the quality of its creative arts and the students this year, under the brilliant guidance of Miss Lee and Miss Hill, have taken that to a new level. It was really moving to see their work professionally displayed in this way and to have so many people come to see it. They are such advocates for our wonderful school and, most of all, they have impressed and motivated younger students who will follow in their artistic footsteps.”
