Hewett Academy pays tribute to cricket legend, Eileen Ash

Antony Little, Executive Principal at The Hewett Academy said: "on behalf of all students and staff at Hewett Academy, we would like to pay our respects to the incredible, Eileen Ash. Eileen charmed us all with her dedication to sport, as the oldest living test cricketer, particularly serving as an inspiration to females - encouraging them to challenge gender boundaries within sport. Her good humour, kindness and joy for life will stay with us all. Her inspiring legacy will live on through all those that use our sports hall, named in her honour. Our thoughts are with Eileen Ash’s friends and family at this sad time."
