World Book Day Competition
BackDue to lockdown and school closures, many school libraries were faced with a tricky question: What to do about World Book Day?
Knowing that the KS3 students and many of GCSE students had been sent art equipment to use at home during lockdown, we set all students a challenge to redesign the covers of their favourite book, using either their art equipment or their digital skills.
The results were fantastic, with a range of students getting involved and recreating book covers for their favourite novels, graphic novels, and webcomics. In the end, our winning entry - a redesigned cover of Tillie Walden's On A Sunbeam, created by Jessica - was selected because it not only incorporated parts of the original cover but also because it showed a true understand of the book and the story.
Congratulations to Jessica and all the other entrants - you should all be very proud of yourselves!
