Today, Hewett Academy is celebrating achieving an incredible Progress 8 score of +0.56, a rise of 0.77 compared to last year. Notably an outstanding achievement in its own right, this figure also positions the school as the 4th top performing school in all of Norfolk and one of the most improved schools for progress in the entire country!

Antony Little, Principal of The Hewett Academy, said:

“The news that Hewett Academy is the third most improved school in England, putting us 4th in Norfolk, is an incredible achievement for the students and staff here.  Hewett is a fantastic school, and the progress score shows that all students, no matter what their starting point, will succeed and thrive here.  The standard of teaching is excellent, and the students have shown the dedication and aspiration to be at the top.  I am so incredibly proud of them.”

Hewett Academy is continuing to go from strength-to-strength, with its period of modernisation on the horizon, the recent launch of its Art Scholarship in full swing, and its extremely impressive GCSE results earlier in the year (55% secured grades 9-5), this Progress 8 score is the cherry on top of a very successful year, showcasing how the school is continuing to enhance its offer and set up its pupils for future success.
