Masterclass in Maths and Science for Hewett students at prestigious Sixth Form

A dozen of Hewett’s most promising Maths and Science students have enjoyed an afternoon of Masterclasses at Norwich’s Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form. The event, which has been running for four years, introduces the students to the possibilities of studying maths and the sciences and gives them a chance to look around Sir Isaac Newton – regularly rated as one of the top sixth forms in the country.

Staff at Sir Isaac Newton, organised by Principal Chris Jennings, Vice Principal Rachel Jarrold and Assistant Principal Graham Colman, delivered engaging lessons which covered advanced Maths and biology topics.

Chris Jennings, Principal at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form, said: “It was wonderful to meet so many talented mathematicians and scientists from Hewett.  We enjoy working with Hewett students who always come with incredible knowledge and ideas.”

Hewett’s Principal Antony Little, said: “We are always grateful to the staff at Sir Isaac Newton who show us where maths and science can take our students in life, but also that with hard work, dedication and aspiration they can achieve anything.”

“Listening as Hewett students explored their ambitions to become pharmacists or marine biologists was inspiring.”
